Friend Making Monday
I haven’t done this in a while but it’s Monday again, and you know what that means! It’s time for Friend Makin’ Mondays so let’s get started…

- Mac or PC? PC but I want a Mac
- Do you paint your own nails? Yes, and I’m quite good at it.
- Beach or mountains? bot
- What’s the title of the book you’re currently reading? Life your Best Life NOW by Joel Olsteen
- Do you dance? Yes, but I’m sure I look ridiculous doing it.
- CNN or Fox News? neither …I dont have cable and havent for years!
- Do you ride a bicycle? Yes, but not enough.
- Do you get a yearly flu shot? yep, just started last year.
- Best movie you’ve seen in 2012? nothing really sticks out right now, maybe The Help?.
- Do you prefer to workout at home or at the gym? I just canceled my gym membership and I’m loving my at home workouts! I am seeing much more progress than when I went to the gym. Less excuses not to do it for me!
- Last airport you were in? PTI
- Married or single? Single…
- iPhone or Android? Android only because Tmobile dosen’t have the iPhone
- Do you prefer to be in pictures or taking pictures? I like both. I take pictures of everything, but I really like to be in them too.
- Favorite brand of sneakers? Asics currently .
- Do you like snow? Yep…
- Do you have/want to have kids? Have a 10 year old daughter and want to adopt at some pont
- Summer or Winter? Fall!
- Do you know how to swim? Yep. But I don’t do it often enough
- Do you prefer to shop in store or online? Store, but I have been doing a lot of online shopping lately.

Zipfizz Review/Giveaway
When I was first contacted to do a review for zipfizz I have to say I was a bit skeptical. To be honest the box set quite a while before I finally decided to give it a try. My first thoughts were Oooh Cool water bottle! I’m always about a cool water bottle, this one even has the measurements on the side so you know how much your drinking. Another thing I noticed was the nutritional information, as a diabetic and health conscious person I almost always check the nutrition label. This stuff had some really good yummyness inside! Still a bit apprehensive and worried about the flavor (I’m funky about flavors for water) I decided the safest bet to try first would be the pink lemonade. It was actually pretty good, not to strong for me like most are. I was pretty surprised and I loved the fact that only 2 carb’s for an entire bottle I wouldn’t have to worry about what it was going to do to my blood sugar.
Over the next couple weeks I have enjoyed the other flavors too and I love the bottle. It’s also great to shake up some protein powder. While I try to drink mostly plane water this is a nice alternative for when you need a little something extra in comparison to other sports/energy drinks.

Excuses or Solutions, YOU decide.
Make things happen, be a big fish in a small pond and create your own destiny.
There is no prince charming and you will not likely win the lottery:

No one will “sweep you off your feet.”It is highly unlikely that you will “win the lottery” or “inherit a windfall”. No one else will make your goals happen for you and no one else will “discover you” or “save you”. No one can magically make your weight change. No one else will do the work for you and no one else will ever care as much as you do.
Take accountability and create solutions:
Solutions: Workout, eat better, learn what will work for you. If you want to feel loved and wanted, then love yourself first. If you want more money then find a way to EARN it. If you want to achieve your goals then take the first step already and do something that involves moving towards your goals! If you are waiting for your strengths to be “discovered” then you will be waiting forever.
Change: If you need to get out of a bad situation stop waiting for someone to rescue you and make the first step towards
saving yourself. Workout, eat better, learn what will work for you. Work hard, work smart, toot your own horn. Become a large fish in a small pond and SELL your own strengths to others.
It is all you: If you want something to change, YOU need to do something about it. If you want to get something done, YOU need to do it. If you want something better to happen for YOUR life, then YOU need to make that happen.
Accountability: It is no one else’s fault. It is no one else’s job to fix you. No one will ever care as much about your goals as you should. Stop blaming. Stop making excuses. Create solutions. Start taking accountability. Get to work. YOUR life depends on it…

Favorite Things for a Healthy Happy 2012
For a healthy, happy 2012 I thought I would share some of my favorite things …..
PB2-peanut butter protein powder
Exercise strength bands
Hand weights
These are my go-to’s every day right now! On my new plan with Dr. G I have also made the decision to switch from dates with Gym to at home workouts. I have to say as much as I used to fight them I have grown to love them now! It’s so much harder to make excuses not to workout with all the tools at home. I do miss the elliptical though. I don’t miss my old gym however because the new ownership and hours were terrible. Another great thing these days is my group of friends who are all on the same plan as I am. It is so much fun having friends who know what your goals are, workout with you and help keep you accountable. Accountability throughout the day has been key for me.
Tomorrow I will be going into week 4 of my new plan. So far I am down 7.4 pounds. It may be a little more than that (tomorrow is my official weigh in day). I am so excited about my new plan, it is so do-able. I have easily added it to my daily routine and am breaking those BAD habits. I can’t wait to go to the clinic next week and see what my monthly loss is and how much muscle mass I have gained.
Another big focus for me right now is finding a JOB! I have made the decision to take a break until the fall with school. Even then I am still going to work full time only doing one or two classes online. I have had a lot of activity in my job search but still no job yet. I did have an awesome interview last Thursday for a job that I would love to get. My interview went fantastic and I am praying I get a call back for this job this week!
My goals for this week:
- Apply for jobs(hopefully get callback from interview last week)
- Track every day
- Workout at least 4 days
- Clean out “junk” room
- Start packing
