“Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.”
  ~Newt Gingrich

Lately with all the busyness of my summer sessions at school I have been lacking in the writing department. I know what you are thinking, school comes first! Yes, school does come first but for me writing is also my sanity and keeps me focused. It’s not that I have not wanted to write but more so that when I go to write I don’t know what I want to say, like I have writers block. This is  not working for me, the more I write the better I feel. I have also noticed that the more I write the more focused I stay on my goals like hot dates with Gym and getting down with the H2O.

Now I know my busy schedule will limit my time but to try and get back on track I have set 2 #gothedist goals to achieve this. The first goal is to do 50 miles either run/walk/elliptical or bike. The second goal for this month is to write 15 times. To some these may seem like big goals but for me they are on the low side. I know that I am supper busy so I wanted to set my self up for success and do what I felt like would be achievable. Because of my knee’s I have been doing a lot more bike miles so 50 is really quite low but I plan on mixing in some other miles.

I am also getting back to basics. My eating has gotten completely out of control this week. Yesterday in particular was atrocious. I have not been making healthy choices or drinking almost any water. I know because of this and the decreased amount of exercise   is why I am feeling tired all the time and not sleeping well. So back to basics it is. Back to tracking calories and water intake. Back to logging Calories burned. I am ready to get out of the 190’s, I have played around there for far to long!

Peace, Love and Happy Blogging

  1. You'll get back on track - hold to those goals! I would love to set a goal to write more. There seems to be so much in me that needs to come out, but I stay busy, which enables me to "choke" those emotions back. One thing at a time for me, I guess. I've set two goals for myself as well, and so far, only successful with one. It's tough, but we must keep on moving on. <3

  2. Good luck with getting back on track - I find that when I keep my water intake up, the food part gets a little easier. Most of the time, I'm thirsty, not hungry - especially in the summer heat!

  3. I think we have all gotten a bit off track with the tracking lately. I know my water intake isnt where it should be, coffee tea and crystal light have replaced my water.
My food tracking has been non-existant, and my exercise has taken a nose dive. My pain level has actually climbed up a bit lately (need to talk to the docs about this, I think its because they swapped me to generic meds but either way its an excuse)
Time for the PriorFatPack to step it up! Maybe I will propose a tracking challenge or something.

  4. I need to work on my water drinking and exercise too! Thanks for writing this about goals. I need to work on mine today. I think I'm going to work on goals for this week and then break it down each day.
